ISIB follows the Cambridge International Curriculum for Primary and Secondary. Students study English, Maths, Science, Art, Danish, German, History, Information and Communication Technology, Music, Physical Education and PSHE. An enrichment class for Gifted and Talented students, the Minerva Circle, fosters creativity, independence and intellectual curiosity in small groups.
Community Circle coordinates cultural and international days and events. Danish and German are offered as part of the Cambridge International Curriculum. Community Circle also provides opportunities for parents and community members to participate in school life and celebrate diversity.
Community Circle supports social activities such as school fairs, seasonal celebrations, sports day support, school discos and movie nights. These activities are run with volunteer involvement and are listed in the school calendar; the weekly Engage newsletter communicates upcoming events.
Friends of ISIB is a parent association closely connected to the school and supports life at ISIB by organising fundraising events and acting as ambassadors. They help implement new initiatives and promote the school locally. The association holds an annual general assembly with board representatives.
The Student Representative Council is democratically elected from multiple year groups. The Council meets regularly with the Head of School and senior staff to discuss ideas and initiatives. The Council aims to contribute to a friendly learning environment, promote fairness and lead sustainability initiatives.
ISIB places wellbeing at the center of its approach, with a Whole-School PSHE program, mindfulness integrated into lessons, and a focus on physical, social and emotional development. The Homeroom Team delivers PSHE and mindfulness; a School Nurse supports students; Physical Education helps maintain health. Mindfulness is taught with six themes: Being Me in My World; Celebrating Difference; Dreams and Goals; Healthy Me; Relationships; Changing Me. SFO and Breakfast Club provide after-school care with play-based, creative and physical activities, and a Holiday Club is available during some breaks.
