Founded in 2008. In August 2013, ISIB moved into a new building on Bøgildvej 2 in Ikast, designed by CF Møller. The school is adjacent to Ikast-Brande Gymnasium, which offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. ISIB follows the Cambridge International Curriculum and serves students from Early Years to Year 11 (ages 2-16).
ISIB Community Circle gives parents, families, and community members the chance to get involved in school life by helping to run and support events throughout the year. Activities range from small gatherings to larger celebrations, including school fairs, cultural days, sports day support, discos, and movie nights. All Community Circle activities are listed in the school calendar, accessible via the weekly newsletter sent through Engage. To join, complete the Community Circle Volunteer Form (current up to December 2025).
Community Circle is the parent involvement body at ISIB, functioning as the school's PTA by coordinating and supporting events throughout the year. Volunteers plan, organize, or simply attend activities such as school fairs, cultural days, sports day, discos, and movie nights. International School Ikast-Brande is an international day school in Ikast, Denmark, delivering the Cambridge Pathway for Primary and Secondary education and Cambridge IGCSE for Years 10–11. The Cambridge Primary programme provides English, Mathematics and Science with a perspective. The Cambridge Secondary curriculum in Years 7–11 is taught in English and prepares students for IGCSE. The school serves early years to age 16 and sits on the Bøgildvej campus, beside Ikast-Brande Gymnasium, which offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. ISIB moved in 2013 to CF Møller-designed building, and in 2018 joined the Hjertet complex, a multi-purpose facility offering indoor and outdoor spaces, including a sports hall, street sports area and a stage. The campus is surrounded by green spaces and woodland. ISIB emphasizes wellbeing through a Whole-School PSHE program and mindfulness; Danish and German are taught within the Cambridge framework. The school collaborates with IBG toward education up to university entry.
