ISK provides a high-quality bilingual education that empowers internationally mobile students to thrive academically, socially, and culturally. The school blends English Cambridge subjects with the Danish national curriculum from Grade 0 through Grade 9, with Cambridge courses covering core subjects and the Danish stream including Danish, German, and arts and home economics in higher grades. In Grades 0–3, Cambridge covers English, Mathematics, Science, and Digital Literacy, while the Danish stream includes Danish, PE, Music, and Art; in Grades 4–9, Cambridge includes English, Mathematics, Combined Science, Global Perspectives, and History, and the Danish stream adds Danish, German, PE, Music, Art & Design, and Home Economics/Cooking. This bilingual program prepares students for further studies in Denmark or abroad.
Music and Art are core arts offerings across the Danish stream. In Grades 0–3 the Danish stream lists Danish, PE, Music, and Art, while Grades 4–9 adds Danish, German, PE, Music, Art & Design, and Home Economics/Cooking.

Opening hours are 6:30 AM–5:00 PM (Friday until 4:00 PM), with options for morning care, half-day care, and full-day care. Pricing includes Morning 909 DKK, Afternoon 1154 DKK, and Whole day 2063 DKK, with Danish-language details available through Kalundborg municipality.
ISK aims to create cross-cultural communities, fostering integration and new opportunities locally. The Kalundborg Municipal Council established ISK to accommodate international residents, reflecting Kalundborg's commitment to inclusive education. As part of Kalundborg's public school system, ISK contributes to equal opportunities for all children.
Parental involvement is planned with a school board to be established in autumn 2025. There will be daily instruction and regular parent–teacher meetings. This governance approach supports leadership and partnership between families and the school.
The After School Program provides a safe, productive atmosphere after school and strengthens ties with the elementary faculty and resources. It supports children's sense of belonging and well-being as an extension of the school day. International School Kalundborg (ISK Kalundborg) is a public municipal school offering a bilingual English–Danish program aligned with Cambridge. The primary curriculum is Cambridge for Grades 0–3, while a bespoke curriculum integrates the Danish national stream from Grade 0 to Grade 9, designed for internationally mobile families. The school welcomes students aged 6 to 14 and operates within Kalundborg Municipality, sharing a campus with Herredsåsen School in a dedicated ISK building.
