Academic and Intellectual

Prins Henrik School is an international school with more than 800 students from 46 nationalities, spanning pre-school to the final year of gymnasium (3.g). It is an AEFE member and is approved by the French Ministry of Education, offering the standard French exams (Brevet and Baccalaure9at) alongside the Danish 9th-grade exam and the DFB, a two-part graduation that combines French and Danish subjects. The school prioritizes multilingualism and cultural openness.

Cultural and Language

French is the main language of instruction. Danish is taught as a second language or for native speakers. English is taught from maternelle, and students in 7th grade choose between German and Spanish. Some students study multiple languages via CNED. FLE (French as a foreign language) and FLSco (French as a second language) are offered from 6th/7th grade. Springboard to French enables non-French-speaking students to enroll until 7th grade.

Community and Service

The school groups include a Well-Being Group (since 2011) focusing on student welfare, addressing bullying and inappropriate behavior, and providing interventions at a professional level. Field trips and language trips are part of the curriculum to develop independence and global outlook. The Vie Scolaire (school life) team supports safety, attendance, and student questions outside class hours, and works with parents and teachers to ensure a smooth year. The parent association represents parents and coordinates communication and events via a digital platform.

Leadership and Professional

The School Board is run entirely by parent volunteers and collaborates with the AEFE, the administration, and teaching teams to guide the school's educational pursuits in line with the French system.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

Long-term programs include after-school options: SFO for maternelle, SFO/KLUB for 1st–5th grade, and Kompas (Junior Club) for 6th–9th grade, with activities ranging from sports and arts to homework support. Lunch is served in the canteen with a full daily menu; meals are prepared in-house and aim to be as organic as possible. The school emphasizes well-being and inclusivity through structured supports and school counselor services.
