English is the medium of instruction in the International Department for all subjects. Danish is taught as a second language, and Danish language instruction is included within the Cambridge program. In Cambridge Primary, Danish as a Second Language is included; in Cambridge Lower Secondary, Spanish is offered. The Danish Department follows the Danish national curriculum with Danish language instruction.
The International Department uses English as the medium of instruction for all subjects; Danish and other foreign languages are taught as separate subjects. There is no bilingual instruction across the curriculum. Danish language instruction is provided within the Danish Department and as Danish as a Second Language within the Cambridge framework.
Skt. Josef's International School Roskilde is a Denmark-based international school delivering the Cambridge International Curriculum alongside the Dutch Curriculum for learners aged 5 to 16. The International Department, opened in 2012, teaches all classroom instruction in English and follows Cambridge Primary (Years 1–6), Lower Secondary (7–9) and Upper Secondary/IGCSE (Year 10–11).
