Admissions Process

All new students applying to register at The American School of Santo Domingo are required to complete the admissions process and must have the appropriate age for their grade level by August 31. Age guidelines are: Nido 2 yrs; Nursery 3 yrs; Pre-kinder 4 yrs; Kinder 5 yrs; 1st 6 yrs. Step 01: Schedule a visit. The admissions team welcomes you to explore the school in person; to schedule a visit, complete the form and the admissions team will contact you to arrange a date and time. As part of the admissions process, students applying to 1st Grade may spend a day in the school from 7:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., and students applying to 2nd Grade and up from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; the admissions report is provided within 14 work days after the scheduled visit, and a meeting with the School Guidance Counselor and/or Principal may be scheduled if needed. Step 02: Start the admissions process by visiting the Admissions Platform Alma Start. Required documents include the Admissions Form signed by parents, the Student Profile Form signed by parents, the Recommendation Form signed by the parent, a copy/scan of the student's transcripts or progress report (for students entering 1st grade and up), most recent MAP Test scores (if available), a copy/scan of the birth certificate, and information reports if the student has received any Psychological-Educational Testing or an IEP. Nursery, Pre-Kinder and Kindergarten applicants must also submit a Health Form signed by the student's doctor, two 2×2 photos, and the Immunization Record.
