The Library and Virtual Room provide a space to access organized bibliographic, audiovisual, and electronic resources to support research for students and teachers. The Library and Virtual Room aim to equip students with information-searching skills for university study and future careers. The Dining / Menu service runs an in-house kitchen with healthy, age-appropriate menus, salads, and options for allergies or medical needs, supervised by the Medical Department. A Salad Bar is offered and younger students receive afternoon snacks; meals are designed to include vegetables, dairy, and fruit. A broad program of after-school Talleres (clubs) covers music, languages, debate, robotics, and sports, extending learning beyond the day. The school integrates modern technologies across the curriculum, including Programming and Robotics laboratories, Dell touchscreen computers, LEGO, a 3D printer, VR glasses, iPads, and Beebots, with interactive whiteboards and campus-wide WiFi; Google Classroom supports online learning and communication. A Medical Department provides health services during the school day and coordinates vaccination campaigns, and bus transport services operate with city routes for student safety.
After-school Talleres include swimming, basketball, and rhythmic gymnastics. These activities run after the regular school day to develop athletic skills and teamwork. The Talleres are part of the school's broader extracurricular program.
Programming and Robotics laboratories are equipped with Dell touch-screen computers, LEGO sets, a 3D printer, virtual reality glasses, iPads, and Beebots for Preschool. They use software for office automation, multimedia resources, and graphic design (Adobe and Microsoft). All classrooms have digital whiteboards and WiFi; a Google Classroom system and other interactive platforms support online learning and communication. After-school Talleres include Piano, English for Kids, Guitar, Debate Club, Robotics, Violin, Swimming, Basketball, and Rhythmic Gymnastics. Summer Camp is offered during the summer as an additional activity program. The Talleres are designed to complement academic learning through sports, arts, and cultural activities.
SEK Las Américas is an international school in Santo Domingo serving students aged 3 to 18 with a bespoke curriculum that blends English and Spanish from the earliest years.
