Let the school know you're thinking of applying — they can share their prerequisites and help you through the process.
It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
1. Open Houses and personalized tours are offered to provide detailed information about Mindful Community School and to answer questions. Attending these visits helps families understand the program, campus environment, and admissions timeline. The visits are recommended as the initial step in the admissions process. 2. Prospective families introduce themselves and sign their child up for the Student Evaluation (PreKinder through 10th grade) and arrange to spend a day at Mindful Community School. A family interview with a member of the school administration is scheduled as part of the process. These steps help the school get to know the candidate and family before formal evaluation. 3. On the visit day, the prospective student spends a day in a classroom with peers from their current grade level and takes the school evaluation to assess readiness and English language skills. Arrive before 7:45 a.m. to participate in all activities. Families must submit all required documentation at least two days prior to the evaluation day to allow proper preparation and avoid rescheduling. The evaluation is designed to be non-stressful; students should wear a white polo shirt and khaki pants and bring a lunchbox with snacks (or money to buy food at the cafeteria). 4. The admissions officer will contact families to schedule a meeting and inform them of the admission test results. If admission is granted, the next steps required for registration are communicated. A spot at Mindful Community School is guaranteed for 15 days once admission is granted during the registration period. 5. Admission documents required include the admission form, a birth certificate copy, copies of both parents' personal ID/passes, copies of the current and previous school year reports, a receipt for the RD$ 3,500.00 exam fee paid on the evaluation day at the school's cashier, and recommendation forms from teachers/counselors/principals. Mindful Community School seeks individuals who not only excel academically but also bring diverse perspectives, opinions, learning styles, capacities and skills to its learning community. 6. Enrollment of accepted students must be formalized within the 15-day window to ensure the student's spot. This period allows the school to finalize enrollment and prepare for the upcoming term. The school emphasizes a diverse learning community and values that applicants bring different perspectives, learning styles, and skills. The formal enrollment completes the admissions process and commits the student to Mindful Community School.
