The Psychology and Counseling Department collaborates with students, teachers, parents and staff to enhance the development of competencies in the academic, socio-emotional, and vocational areas. A variety of strategies are implemented, including whole-group intervention, small-group work, individual conferences, workshops for parents and students, and system-wide support meetings. The program focuses on socio-emotional development from Nido through High School and is led by psychologists in a classroom called Happy. Teachers continue to reinforce the program in their classrooms through daily sessions of about 10 minutes. Mindfulness is integrated into the program, emphasizing self-control, self-care, meaningful relationships, generosity, gratitude, empathy, growth mindset and self-motivation, guided by characters through activities that encourage reflection, concentration, emotional regulation, and resilience.
Academic Intervention Services support students from Kinder through Secondary School. The Special Education Teacher works with students who present difficulties in their learning process—such as minor speech delays, handwriting issues, dyslexia, reading speed, fluency, and vocabulary gaps. In the Learning Lab, students receive practice and instruction at their individual levels through a digital curriculum for reading and math. The ESOL/SSL specialist supports speakers of other languages to develop their English or Spanish language skills.

The program includes a dedicated Happy classroom and daily classroom activities of about 10 minutes to reinforce wellbeing and resilience. A mindfulness-focused environment, the Happy Room, supports student self-regulation and concentration.
Mindful Community School applies a Child Protection Policy and Guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of students. By applying to Mindful Community School, families agree to abide by these policies. The campus includes a Health Service with a health care center and health care professionals who provide first aid and are authorized to administer medication. The school also maintains a Happy Room, an environment crafted to promote mindfulness and student wellbeing. Safeguarding and student welfare are embedded in the school's policies and practices.
Mindful Community School offers an American and Canadian curriculum with an AP program, preparing students from ages 1 to 18. Located in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, it operates within Educación Integral and follows Core Common Standards, national Dominican curricula, and a USA-type framework.
