Notre Dame Preschool received authorization to operate on Dominican soil when the Secretary of Education signed a permission letter on August 29, 1995. The school is named after the Mother of God, Notre Dame (Our Lady in French). The institution is located at Manuel de Jesús Troncoso
Notre Dame School hosts community events such as Kids in Business, where students work in teams to create a company, design a product, and sell it at a bazaar to develop creativity and problem-solving skills. The program combines academic knowledge with hands-on entrepreneurship experiences to prepare students for the modern world. The Science Fair is an annual event sponsored by NASA's GLOBE Program; students present investigations and experiments following the scientific method, with the current theme focusing on the Mangrove Ecosystem. The NOTRE DAME School PTO is a nonprofit group whose membership includes all parents, legal guardians, and staff at Notre Dame School. The PTO's mission is to promote open communication and understanding between parents and staff. The PTO sponsors assistance to teachers in the classroom, holds fundraisers for supplemental educational materials and experiences, supports school and family social interaction, and provides a non-biased forum for sharing information on issues that impact our children. It is our belief that the teamwork of a parent–teacher organization offers the best possible learning environment for our children.
Notre Dame School is an international Catholic day school in Santo Domingo serving students aged 3 to 18.
