From our Samborondón location, the campus spans 30,000 square meters on seven hectares. Palm trees line the entrance and modern buildings are designed to foster creativity and critical thinking. The campus features a 2,000 m2 multi-sport complex, nine world-class music classrooms, a professional-grade recording studio, six visual arts classrooms, a Juilliard-inspired dance classroom, and two cafeterias. Labs and tech hubs built for innovation include mobile iPad labs, a high-tech sound recording lab, a digital photography lab, a media center and library, three innovation labs with 3D printers, maker spaces, and a green room for video recording or filmmaking. State-of-the-art fitness facilities and expansive sports fields provide recreation and wellbeing, including playgrounds, turf fields, running tracks, and gym lockers.
Playgrounds provide outdoor play space. A 2,000 m2 multisport complex houses basketball and volleyball courts. A weightlifting gym supports strength training. Turf soccer fields are available for outdoor games. The running surface features special flooring for running, and gym lockers are provided for students.
Interactive activities and technology standards are integrated across all classrooms, with campus-wide Wi-Fi. There are mobile iPad labs, a high-tech sound recording lab, and a digital photography lab with Apple computers. Three innovation labs with 3D printers, maker spaces, and a collaboration innovation hub support hands-on learning. From 1st Grade, students enjoy a bilingual Media Center with fiction and nonfiction books and research databases. A green room supports video recording and filmmaking.
Arts are central, with music, visual arts, and theatre supported by nine world-class music classrooms, a professional-grade recording studio, six visual art classrooms, and a Juilliard-inspired dance classroom. The Media Center and Library promote reading and research, with English-language books for Early Childhood and a bilingual Media Center from Grade 1. Book fairs, author visits, and other events celebrate reading and creativity. These spaces support a broad range of extracurricular arts and media activities.
Colegio Menor Samborondón is an international school offering the American curriculum with Advanced Placement options, built on a liberal arts approach that develops well-rounded learners who are artists, scientists, musicians, writers and mathematicians. The Samborondón campus opened in 2013 and has been part of Nord Anglia Education since 2019, welcoming students ages 3 to 17. Preschool delivers 100% English immersion; from Lower to High School, English is the language of instruction for core subjects, with 20% Spanish.
