Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

The school supports social and emotional development through universal values and hands-on service projects, guided by its Character Counts program. English as an Additional Language (EAL)

Colegio Menor Samborondón is an international school offering the American curriculum with Advanced Placement options, built on a liberal arts approach that develops well-rounded learners who are artists, scientists, musicians, writers and mathematicians. The Samborondón campus opened in 2013 and has been part of Nord Anglia Education since 2019, welcoming students ages 3 to 17. Preschool delivers 100% English immersion; from Lower to High School, English is the language of instruction for core subjects, with 20% Spanish. The campus spans about 30,000 square meters with a 2,000 square meter multisport complex, a professional recording studio, nine music classrooms, visual arts studios, a Juilliard-inspired dance space, and three innovation labs with 3D printers, plus Mobile iPad labs. A bilingual Media Center from Grade 1 supports research. Partnerships with Juilliard and MIT enrich the arts and STEM, while Global Campus connects students with peers in 32 countries, including expeditions and Global Games.
