Uniform Requirement

The school requires students to wear the proper uniform from the first to the last day of the school year, with a regular uniform on normal days and a PE uniform on PE days or school trips. For G8 to G12, the IGCSE student uniform consists of a soft blue T‑shirt, light brown pants, white socks, and black shoes; makeup and nail polish are not allowed for girls; students out of uniform will be sent home. The school uniform is available at Guelguela Shops in Zamalek, 6 Ahmed Sabry Street, from Hassan Sabry, Zamalek, Cairo.

Food Options

The school day includes a free healthy lunch at the school restaurant and there is a canteen offering snacks at reasonable prices.

Dar El Tarbiah Schools were founded in 1958 by Dr. Nawal El Degwi. Dr. Nawal El Degwi is the Founder and Head of the Board of Trustees of MSA University, and the school has a strong affiliation with MSA University.

Dar El Tarbiah IGCSE Zamalek is part of the Dar El Tarbiah Schools network in Egypt and offers a British pathway through Cambridge IGCSE, Edexcel Certificate, and AQA examinations for 14–16 year olds. Instruction is mainly in English with Arabic support, and the curriculum includes Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Languages, Humanities and Social Studies, Computer and Technology, Creative Arts, Physical Education and Life Skills. The school operates within the Cambridge International Examinations framework and maintains a strong affiliation with MSA University. Facilities include a clinic with nurses, air conditioned classrooms with internet, a resource department, a Primary Art Suite, and dedicated music rooms. A separate theatre and drama studio seats about 250; the library has about 3,000 books and is computerized. Science labs and ICT labs support practical learning, with a one computer per child policy.
