Deutsche Schule der Borromäerinnen Alexandria is a long-established German-Egyptian Begegnungsschule serving predominantly girls aged 3 to 18. The German-language curriculum forms the spine of education from Kindergarten through Gymnasiale Oberstufe, with Arabic weekly sessions in kindergarten and English introduced in grade 4. The gymnasium offers the Deutsches Internationales Abitur (DIA), a bilingual German-English Abitur alongside the Allgemeine Hochschulreife, and the school provides a DELF French diploma via the Institut Français in Alexandria. The facility set combines a newer building with an 1981 extension housing science labs, a lecture hall, computer room, and well-stocked libraries.
