Billing schedule and payment terms
- Tuition is billed in four installments; each installment has a specific payment window. The school issues invoices by e‑mail and requests that payments include the pupil's full name and student number. Payment windows follow the school's published deadlines (installment 1, installment 2, installment 3, installment 4).
- Cancellation / early withdrawal: Tuition is due for each started half‑year; late entry is charged on the same basis.
School bus / transport fees
- School bus fees are charged by zone and normally split into two instalments (two equal payments shown by zone). Examples of total annual transport costs by zone (sum of both instalments):
- Dokki / Zamalek / Mohandessin: EGP 13,800 + EGP 13,800 = EGP 27,600 per year.
- Maadi / Heliopolis / Nasr City: EGP 16,000 + EGP 16,000 = EGP 32,000 per year.
- New Cairo / 6th October / Sheikh Zayed / Taj City / Gardinia: EGP 18,000 + EGP 18,000 = EGP 36,000 per year.
- Mivida / Sherouk: EGP 19,000 + EGP 19,000 = EGP 38,000 per year.
- Bus refunds and cancellation: partial refunds are available if the bus subscription is cancelled by specified deadlines; refund amounts are reduced by a percentage depending on cancellation date.
Other costs and fees
- Schoolbooks (grades 1–11): Book invoices are issued and must be paid by the school's stated deadline when books are collected. A non‑collection administrative fee applies (EGP 300).
- School uniform (grades 1–12): Uniforms are supplied by the retailer Rose Marie (address and contact provided by the school); uniforms are purchased separately by parents.
- Concessions / fee reductions: Fee reduction applications are handled annually and require submission of the school's application form and supporting income documentation within the published deadline.
Refund information
- Kindergarten application fee refund: the application fee is refundable only if the registration is withdrawn by the stated deadline in the school's admissions information; after that date the application fee is not refundable.
- Bus refund schedule: refunds for bus subscriptions are possible up to the published cut‑off dates and are reduced by the published percentages depending on the cancellation date.
- Tuition on withdrawal: when a pupil is withdrawn before the end of the school year, the tuition for each commenced half‑year remains payable.

Deutsche Schule der Borromäerinnen Kairo is a German international school for girls in Cairo. It follows the KMK framework for Grades 1–12, serving about 620 pupils in that range and 120 in Kindergarten and Vorschule, taught by 50 teachers and 12 Erzieherinnen. The school teaches four languages—German, Arabic, English and French—with Arabic from Grade 1, English from Grade 4 and French from Grade 6. In Grundschule, the gymnasiale Mittelstufe begins in Grade 5; upper levels lead to the Allgemeine Hochschulreife as Deutsches Internationales Abitur. After Grade 9 students take the Adadeya examination and after Grade 12 the Thanaweyaprüfung. A Studien- und Berufsberatung provides early guidance, with cooperation agreements with universities in Germany and Egypt. Facilities include a library of about 8,500 books in four languages, a Mensa, a Schulklinik, and on-site support from the Konvent der Borromäerinnen in Maadi. Extracurriculars include choirs, MUN, Debating, DELF, and Sozial-AG for all students.
