Established in Cairo, Dover International School (DIS) was inaugurated in 2010. The school teaches in English and uses American standards with American accredited textbooks. In partnership with the school community, DIS provides eligible students from the Middle East and Greater Cairo with a rigorous American and international preparatory education, and the learning environment is founded on respect, responsibility and results.
The Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) was initiated to receive focused feedback from parents concerning the policies and procedures that support the operations of the school. The PAC meets monthly with the School Director to discuss issues that arise over the school year and leads community-building projects such as food and clothing drives, supporting local charity drives, book fairs, game days and sports events. DAIS values parental involvement and believes the partnership strengthens relationships, communication and mutual understanding between parents, staff and the administration. The School Calendar is available with a downloadable DIS Calendar for 2025/26, and the School Newsletter is published with archived issues.
