El Gouna International School is a co-educational, non-selective day school on Egypt's Red Sea coast serving students aged 4 to 18. It runs two pathways under one umbrella: a British Section delivering the National Curriculum for England with English as the language of instruction, leading to Cambridge IGCSEs and AS/A Levels taught by British-qualified teachers; and a National Language School Section following the Egyptian Language School Curriculum with English instruction while Arabic, Social Studies/Civics and Religion are taught by Egyptian staff. The German Language DSD Programme is available in both sections. All subjects are taught in English, with Arabic-based core subjects taught in Arabic. The school is accredited by the Egyptian Ministry of Education and is a member of BSME and COBIS; it is an approved Cambridge (CAIE) and Edexcel (Pearson) exam center through the British Council. Two sections operate independently but join for morning assemblies and co-curricular activities. Facilities include a 25m pool, science and ICT laboratories, a canteen, a clinic, a small library hosting reading activities, a Little Free Library initiative, outdoor AstroTurf fields, a basketball court, and an indoor multipurpose hall.
