Admissions

How to apply, waitlist information, and financial support

Admissions Process

1. Admission usually starts between December and January of each year. Applications and supporting documents should be submitted to the Admission Office. The required documents include one passport-size photo of the child, a copy of the birth certificate (new version), the most recent report from the nursery or current school, and copies of each parent's education certificates. 2. After processing, the administration will contact you with an assessment date and time for you and your child. This assessment invitation does not guarantee a place, and the child may be placed on the waiting list until spaces become available. Older students are tested individually to assess their English, Maths and Arabic; you will then be called with the interview date and time with the School Director. 3. If a place is awarded, you will be asked to pay the first installment of the school fees to ensure the place for the new academic year. This payment confirms the intention to enroll. When the required payment has been established, you have joined our Elwy Schools Family. 4. For Elwy Language Schools (Pre-KG) admissions, fill in an admission form on the website and submit it by email; the school will set appointments for interviews. The child must be at least 3 years and 6 months old by October 1; the child must pass the interview and the tests; the parents must be able to converse in English. Admission is based on the school's evaluation, with elder applicants given priority; the interview with the Director General requires the birth certificate, one photograph, and copies of the parents' university qualifications and National IDs. 5. For Elwy British International School admissions: Foundation 1 requires the child to be 4 years old by October 1. Applicants fill in an admission form on the website and submit it by email; interviews are scheduled. Documents required include a copy of the child's birth certificate, a recent photograph, and the child's nursery report; copies of the parents' university qualifications and their National ID Cards; an additional copy of the child's achievement report from the previous nursery/school. The Admissions Office handles the process and provides contact details; hours are Sun-Thu 9am-2pm; phone numbers are 02 37722500 and 02 37722600, and mobile numbers are 01029116273 and 01152505551. 6. Contact information for further questions: The Admissions Office can be reached during working hours, and the provided phone numbers and emails are the primary channels for guidance through the admissions process.

Waitlist

The waiting list is used when spaces are not currently available. Applicants may be placed on the waiting list and offered a place when spaces become available.

Founded in 1995, the group runs a National and International Division in the Al-Haram district, serving Foundation Stage through Year 12. The school is private and co-educational, affiliated with Cambridge International Examinations and Edexcel, preparing students for IGCSE examinations. Cambridge Primary and Secondary frameworks, together with IGCSE offerings, are embedded across the curriculum. The British Council accredits the school, and it is recognised by the Egyptian Ministry of Education. The Cambridge approach is described as comprehensive, thematic, and creative, fostering international mindedness and personal learning. Facilities include age-appropriate, safe play areas, a swimming pool, a gym, and both covered and outdoor spaces. A media center with a video library, three computer labs, a school-wide network and smart boards support digital learning across all stages.
