Introduction

Ethos International School is a British international school in Egypt, located in Sheikh Zayed City, Cairo. Since its founding in 2015, Ethos has delivered British education designed to nurture the whole child academically, socially, and emotionally. The campus spans 14,000 square metres and was conceived with sustainability in mind, providing space. The school follows the Foundation Stage with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, Primary aligned to the National Curriculum of England, and Lower/Upper Secondary under the Cambridge International Curriculum for IGCSE and A-Levels. Facilities include four science labs, 52 classrooms, and over 20 specialized rooms, with every classroom equipped with a Smart board, computer, and speaker. Billing schedule and payment terms
- Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 instalments are due before 1 April, 1 August, 1 October and 1 December. Key Stages 2–4 instalments are due before 1 February, 1 May and 1 October. All fees must be paid by the specified due dates.
- Educational resources, books and activity charges are not included in the tuition totals above and are billed separately; the school publishes the resource amount and due dates at the start of the academic year. The educational resources charge shown in the fee schedule is EGP 37,000 per pupil.

Upper‑secondary (Years 10–12) additional fee details and subject charges
- Year 12 registration/base fee: EGP 60,000 (required for registration in Year 12). O‑Level subject fee: EGP 20,000 per subject. AS / A2 subject fee: EGP 25,000 per subject. Deadlines for these upper‑secondary payments are set by the school (example deadlines shown for 2025/2026: Year 12 base by 1 May; O‑Level and AS/A2 subject payments by 1 November). Exam registration fees are billed separately.
- If a required subject is not offered internally, parents may arrange an external teacher and are responsible for the associated costs. Refunds may apply for certain AS/A2 classes if minimum class sizes are not met.

Boarding fees

Curriculum

Foundation Stage follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework set by the UK Department for Education. Language & Literacy uses Read Write Inc. phonics and Talk Through Stories; Mathematics uses the White Rose Maths scheme; the stage emphasizes emotional intelligence, positive relationships, early social skills, and independent behavior. The Foundation Stage environment includes Smart boards in every classroom, Reading corners, an Expressive Arts room, and a Foundation Stage garden. Primary School (Years 1–6) is aligned with the National Curriculum of England, with English Language & Literacy, Mathematics (White Rose Maths), Science (Theoretical + Practical Inquiry), Arabic, Islamic/Religious Studies, Computing, Art & Design, Music, PE, and Modern Foreign Languages from Year 3; Character Education is woven into daily learning. By the end of Primary, Ethos students are academically prepared for Key Stage 3, fluent in English and Arabic, emotionally and socially mature, and ready to lead, innovate, and contribute to their communities. Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

Character Education and the SkillUp Programme guide pupils from Foundation Stage through Year 12 to develop a strong moral compass, leadership abilities, and lifelong values. Character development runs Foundation Stage to Year 9 with the SkillUp Programme for Years 10–12, plus College & Career Readiness Tracks. English as an Additional Language (EAL)

Language barriers that hinder curriculum access are addressed through Learning Support. In Years 1–2, in-class and small group interventions include English, Math, and Arabic. Language & Literacy in Foundation Stage uses Read Write Inc. phonics to build reading and writing skills, and the EYFS framework is followed. The school teaches English as the language of instruction through its British International School program, with English-language literacy as a core component.

Mental Wellbeing

The Counselling & Pupils' Support Office provides a dedicated space to support emotional, social, and psychological wellbeing. The approach is holistic and aims to ensure every pupil feels emotionally safe and empowered academically, socially, and personally. 01. Book a School Tour in Sheikh Zayed to visit Ethos International School, meet the team, and learn about the British international curriculum and the campus. School tours are held every Sunday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., and bookings are made through the official school website. The campus is described as a vibrant, eco-friendly environment with class sizes capped at 25 students. 02. Submit the Online Application Form to start the process. The application requires uploading documents and details as part of Ethos's admissions review. 03. Entrance Assessment & Evaluation. The assessment fee is 4,000 EGP, payable on the day of assessment. Assessments for different year groups cover varying subjects: Preschool to FS2 focuses on language, emotional and social readiness; Years 1–3 test basic English, Math, and Arabic; Years 4–9 include in‑depth English, Mathematics, Arabic and a creative writing task; Years 10+ involve subject readiness, academic records and interviews. 04. Parent Interview. A meeting with both parents is held to align expectations, share Ethos's educational philosophy, and understand the student's needs and background. 05. Offer of Admission & Enrollment. Successful applicants receive an offer by email. To confirm a spot, submit the acceptance form, pay the registration fee, and complete all required documentation. Offers are valid for 5 working days and admission is finalized only upon payment and documentation. Age-Based Year Placement: placement is based on the student's age as of October 1 of the academic year, with minimum ages FS2 5 years, FS1 4 years, and Preschool 3 years.

Waitlist

Admissions for the upcoming academic year open during the first week of November. Mid-year transfers are considered based on seat availability. If seats are not immediately available, applicants are placed on a waiting list and offered admission as space becomes available.
