Introduction

GEMS British School Al Rehab (GEMS TBS) is a well‑established British international school located in Rehab City, New Cairo. Founded in 2001, it serves around 1,000 students on a campus of just under 9,000 square metres, offering Pre‑School through Year 12. The school follows the British National Curriculum, with Foundation Stage guided by the UK Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. In Primary, Key Stages 1 and 2 align with the UK curriculum, and in Secondary Key Stages 3 and 4 include an Arabic compulsory component. Years 9–11 deliver Cambridge IGCSE, followed by Cambridge A Levels for post‑16 study, with an IELTS course to prepare for Advanced Level study. Entry to Egyptian degree courses typically requires eight IGCSEs. Facilities include specialised activity rooms, a Science Lab, and a Makerspace; a mid‑size football field; a multipurpose hall; and exclusive year‑round access to Rehab City's sporting club. The CAST programme emphasises Creativity, Activity, Service, and Teamwork, while the Future‑Proof Education approach blends academics with real‑world skills through interdisciplinary projects, debate clubs, coding labs, and leadership programmes.
