1. Application. Metropolitan School is accepting applications for Nursery to Grade 11 for the academic year 2026-2027. All applications are reviewed on an individual basis. Final acceptance is confirmed only after the submission of all required documents. To apply, complete the application forms for each level: Early Childhood, Elementary School, Middle School, High School. 2. Assessment & Parents Interview. Once all required documents have been submitted, students who meet the school's admission criteria will be invited, along with their parents, to attend an assessment and parent interview at the school. During the assessment day, younger students will be evaluated to understand their developmental readiness, while applicants for upper grades will complete a standardized American assessment to determine their academic capabilities. 3. Assessment Result & Enrollment Process. Families will be notified of the assessment results within 7 calendar days. If a place is offered, it must be secured within 10 days to confirm the student's enrollment. 4. Required Documents. The following documents are required: 1. Applicant's Birth Certificate (or a copy at this point) or Passport for Non-Egyptians; 2) Copy of Identification for both parents; 3) Copy of Parents' University Certificates; 4) Nursery Report (where applicable for Pre-K and KG1 applicants only); 5) End-of-Academic-Year Reports for the past two years and the most recent school reports for the current academic year (Important Notice: If coming from outside Egypt, papers must be formally attested from the country of origin of the school attended by the embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Egypt); 6) A Confidential Letter of Good Conduct from the current school (mandatory for Grade 7 applicants and up); 7) An Attested Sequence of Years Certificate (شهادة تسلسل دراسي موثقة).
Metropolitan School in Egypt delivers an American curriculum for ages 3–18, taught in English with AP courses. The Elementary School serves Grades 1–5 (ELA, Math, Science) and introduces Grade 1 Entrepreneurship through the Lemon Stand project, with Arabic, PE, Music, Art, ICT, Library, SEL and Religion. The Middle School (Grades 6–8) offers ELA, Math, Science, and a World Language program (French, German, or Spanish) alongside Electives Catalogue including swimming, soccer, robotics, drama, film, with MAP tests three times yearly and technology integration via IXL, HMH and McGraw Hill. The High School emphasizes university preparation and entrepreneurship, with ACT and EST exams; a Metropolitan School student was admitted to Cornell University in 2024. The campus sits on 21,000 meters in New Cairo, designed by ECG, with safety features, reading corners, talent development rooms, a pool, a court, and a wired library. After-school clubs include Photography, Debate, and the Student Metrepreneurship Club.
