Facilities Overview

Built on a 21,000 square meter plot in New Cairo, Metropolitan School is creatively designed by ECG to engage your child's curiosity and foster a love of learning. The building incorporates the latest design and technology, with cooled fresh air diffusers in all classrooms to reduce disease transmission and anti-bacterial flooring and furniture for health. Safety features include fireproofed cables and wall sealing designed to contain a fire for two hours, together with a comprehensive smoke detection system and evacuation policy. Classrooms include reading corners and special rooms for talent development such as pretend play, art, cooking, and music. The campus is WIFI-enabled and every classroom has a smartboard. The library is stocked with hundreds of books and supports a guided reading program.

Sports Facilities

The campus includes a heated swimming pool and a multi-purpose court. Athletics and other sports are offered through co-curricular activities, including sports clubs such as Soccer and Padel.

The campus features a library stocked with hundreds of books, with a Guided Reading Program and open library access for students. Classrooms are WIFI-enabled and equipped with smartboards, and there are dedicated spaces such as Reading Corners and Special Rooms for Talent Development to support learning across subjects.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Entrepreneurship is a cornerstone of Metropolitan's program, with hands-on experiences, workshops, and showcases; the school is described as the first in Egypt to pioneer entrepreneurship education. Performing Arts offer electives in theater, music, film making, photography, band, and drama. After-school activities include clubs such as Photography, Debate, and Performing Arts (Band and Drama), along with sports clubs like Soccer and Padel.

Metropolitan School in Egypt delivers an American curriculum for ages 3–18, taught in English with AP courses. The Elementary School serves Grades 1–5 (ELA, Math, Science) and introduces Grade 1 Entrepreneurship through the Lemon Stand project, with Arabic, PE, Music, Art, ICT, Library, SEL and Religion. The High School emphasizes university preparation and entrepreneurship, with ACT and EST exams; a Metropolitan School student was admitted to Cornell University in 2024.
