General Academic Goals and Skills: At NG, all academic departments enrich learning with internationally benchmarked skills. Our professional educators implement critical thinking and problem-solving within a framework aligned to the school's mission, vision, and balanced approach. Our spiral and integrated curricula build an academic foundation that supports college readiness across subjects. Throughout the academic year, subjects follow structured objectives to meet instructional goals.
STEAM is an interdisciplinary approach that engages students in real-world problem solving by integrating science, technology, engineering, art, and math. STEAM projects develop critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity through hands-on engineering experiences. The NG Academy offers master classes in Visual Arts, Music, Athletics, Etiquette, Aerobics/Dance, Robotics, and Coding as after-school programs to broaden artistic and creative skills.
The French Department provides a KG French program that introduces pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, reading, and speaking, with a multimedia course that uses textbooks, audio, videos, and activities to develop all four language skills. Students practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing through interactive, culturally contextual activities. NG hosts the International Festival of Francophone Schools Theater in Egypt, and NG students participate in French plays and have earned prizes such as Best French Feminine Interpretation, Best Choreography, and Best Music.
Student Life includes ongoing assemblies, trips, shows, and events aligned to the curriculum, supporting social-emotional growth and wellbeing. NG Sports Week and a range of after-school activities foster physical fitness and extracurricular engagement. The STEAM and other after-school offerings provide opportunities for students to explore hobbies and collaborative projects beyond class time.
Community Service is integrated at NG, with middle school students participating in fundraising, clothing drives, Ramadan goody bag projects, and partner activities to serve those in need. High School students are required to complete community service hours as part of graduation (minimum 60 hours across four years; 15 hours per year). These activities develop responsibility, ownership, and compassion through real-world service.
Student leadership is exemplified by the NG Student Council, elected by the student body to represent peers and express their views. The Council includes roles across elementary, middle, and high school, with positions such as President, Secretary, Vice President, and directors for community service and awareness. STEP UP and NG Academy provide leadership-related and skill-building opportunities through after-school programs in academics, arts, and activities.
Wellbeing and life-skills are prioritized through a robust student-life program that includes assemblies, trips, and events aimed at social-emotional development. Life-skills events and service activities are embedded in the campus culture to nurture healthy relationships and responsible citizenship. After-school offerings and clubs, including STEP UP and NG Academy activities, support a balanced lifestyle that blends academics with creative, athletic, and social experiences.
