Uniform must be worn every day, with the PE uniform on PE days. Velcro shoes only; black shoes are required. Girls must have hair tied up and boys' hair must be short and tidy; accessories are not allowed for girls and nail polish is prohibited; students must have two extra spare uniform sets.
The school has a canteen; nutrition is taken seriously and there are strict food and beverage policies. All food and snacks must be in sealed packages. Daily Expenditure Booklets are used to purchase from the canteen.
The school was established in 2010 in memory of the late Dr. Suad Kafafi. A Board of Directors governs the school.
SKILLS is a British-curriculum school in Egypt serving learners from ages 3 to 18. The curriculum follows Cambridge Primary, with English, Mathematics, and Science taught across the years and a Cambridge KS1 Primary Programme for ages 5 to 11 that develops skills. End-of-year assessments identify strengths and areas for development to guide progression within SKILLS' educational structure. Cambridge International Examinations provides curriculum resources, teacher materials, and examination services, while subjects are endorsed by the Egyptian Ministry of Education. The school runs a Robotics Club using LEGO Education kits, emphasizing teamwork and project presentations; participants can qualify for the FIRST LEGO LEAGUE World Robot Championship. A Deutsche Abteilung offers a German department for language study. The SKILLS School Summer Camp combines robotics, language, and mathematics with outdoor activities, including horse riding. A distinctive feature is the integration of Cambridge progression with a German department and robotics-focused competitions within Egyptian context today.
