Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

The school was inaugurated in September 2001 in Sharm el Sheikh to provide quality education for both Egyptian and foreign resident students from pre-school through the end of the primary stage. In September 2002 a Preparatory Department was added, and in September 2003 the Secondary Department with two curricula—Egyptian and American—was introduced. The school has been accredited by AdvancED (now Cognia) since 2004, the year the American Diploma Program for Pre-K through Grade 12 was launched. In March 2010 the first reaccreditation visit by the AdvancED team was completed and official recognition from NCA-CASI was received. Reaccreditation followed in March 2015 and November 2020, with five-year terms and results that exceeded Cognia's global averages. Cognia accreditation is planned again for March 2026. The school currently offers accommodation for Pre-School, Elementary, Middle School, and High School within the age range of 3 to 18; English is the language of instruction.

Community

The school maintains strong relationships with the local community and educational authorities. It actively contributes to the development of the region through partnerships with international organizations and local stakeholders. The mission emphasizes building trust and partnership with parents through open communication and teamwork among administration, teachers, and parents. Cognia accreditation provides ongoing external validation of the school's quality and ongoing improvement.
