How to apply, waitlist information, and financial support

Admissions Process

1. Submit application with required documentation. Submit an application and all supporting documents. Applications will not be considered until all required documents have been submitted. The school acknowledges receipt of each application and holds it on file for entry to the requested academic year. 2. Assessment scheduled and Assessment Fee paid. Assessments are scheduled subject to the availability of places. It is possible that an applicant will be assessed and offered a place on the waiting list. The assessment fee must be settled on or before the date of assessment. 3. Foundation & Interviews. Foundation Stage uses classroom observations to assess ability. Standardised tests are used throughout the rest of the school to assess student ability. Interviews may be conducted with the Admissions Director or designee. 4. Places offered. Places are offered subject to successful completion of the application procedures and of an academic entrance examination in English, Maths and Non-Verbal Reasoning. A formal letter is issued with other necessary paperwork for completion and return. The formal letter provides instructions for completing and returning required paperwork. 5. Pay Tuition Fees and Deposit to confirm place. A downpayment of the tuition fees is required to reserve the place. Fees do not include activities, books, uniforms and transportation. 6. Refunds & Discount Policy. The assessment fee is not refundable when not accepted and does not guarantee the offer of a place. A 5% discount is offered on the second child and the third child.

Stanford International School offers an American Division and a British Division. The curriculum combines American and British frameworks, with Advanced Placement courses and the Reggio Emilia approach used in early years. Instruction is delivered in multiple languages, with French and German available, and ESL program supports students whose mother tongue is not English. Core subjects include Arabic, English, Maths, Sciences, and Individuals & Society. The school provides athletic facilities, including a fitness center and athletic trainers, with elementary sports such as robotics, science experiments, basketball and coding; middle school activities include triathlon, football, handball and swimming; and high school offerings feature choir, dance, band, theatre and orchestra, plus opportunities to travel and compete with international schools. Academic facilities emphasize labs where Math, Science and Computer work reinforce learning. Arts and Technology link disciplines, and language programs deepen cultural understanding. A planned IB program and Model United Nations participation are planned.
