History

The British School of Egypt opened in 2010 in the exclusive Sheikh Zayed community on the West of Cairo. It is a co-educational British international school delivering the National Curriculum for England. It has over 16 years of experience teaching the National Curriculum of England to children from 2.5 years to 17 years of age. It has a vibrant pupil population with over 1,380 students from different nationalities and a large campus with dedicated buildings for Early Years, Primary School and Secondary School and facilities including a theatre, a heated swimming pool, sporting facilities, science laboratories, music rooms, art rooms, drama rooms and ICT rooms. The Senior Leadership Team is mainly British and the school is a COBIS member.

Community

The school has a vibrant, diverse community with over 1,380 students from different nationalities. The campus includes dedicated buildings for Early Years, Primary and Secondary, and facilities such as a large theatre, a heated swimming pool, sporting facilities, science laboratories, music rooms, art rooms, drama rooms and ICT rooms. Parent-Teacher Association

Parent Focus Group provides parent liaison and support. Pastoral Care mediates relationships between teachers, pupils and parents and within the wider BSE community. Pastoral & Behaviour organizes events such as Anti-Bullying Week and community service. The House System fosters belonging across age groups through House Days and events, and house points are awarded and announced weekly. COBIS membership and a senior leadership team mainly British contribute to the international character of the BSE community.
