The SABIS® Student Life Organization (SLO) is the heart of the school and a pillar of the SABIS® Educational System. It is a student-led mini-society that empowers students to participate in the day-to-day experiences at ISC-Cairo and offers academic, social, and emotional benefits for everyone involved. SLO comprises nine departments that provide a wide range of activities and experiences. The program fosters an international mindset that promotes empathy for others, the acceptance of diversity, and a responsibility for caring for the wider community. Advisory and wellbeing initiatives support students' social-emotional development and leadership, helping prepare them for university and life beyond school.
Learning support is an essential part of the SABIS® Educational System implemented at ISC-Cairo. Every student's progress is monitored, and when learning gaps form, students, working with their teachers and school administrators, can focus their efforts on filling the gaps through additional support channels at the school. The support is offered through teacher-led study groups and the assignment of prefects and group leaders to help students stay responsible, attentive, and confident. The Academic Department of the SABIS® Student Life Organization (SLO) provides peer tutoring, power study sessions, academic competitions, and on-demand tutoring videos. Health & Wellness features two medical doctors on site who promote health and safety and manage the long-term care of students with special healthcare needs and health concerns.
Advisory Classes provide a weekly space to discuss topics of importance to students' lives in a safe environment. In the early years, topics include peer pressure, organizational skills, personal hygiene, health and exercise, conflict resolution, problem-solving, time management, and exam preparation techniques. As students progress, Advising Classes cover health and wellbeing, IT safety, cultural understanding, interview skills, and career and university counseling. ISC-Cairo has two medical doctors on site to promote health and safety and to respond to health-related questions and concerns. The overall focus on health and wellbeing, plus advisory support and SLO activities, supports students' mental wellbeing.
ISC-Cairo provides a health and wellness program with two on-site medical doctors to care for injuries, illnesses, and long-term healthcare needs. Advisory Classes address health and wellbeing and IT safety, offering safe spaces to discuss personal safety and wellbeing. The school emphasizes high levels of personal care and attention to each student. The SABIS® Student Life Organization offers activities that contribute to safety, social development, and responsible citizenship. Ongoing monitoring of student progress and individualized support within the SABIS® system helps safeguard students' wellbeing.
