Windrose Academy Cairo is an international British curriculum school for ages 3 to 17 that blends the Cambridge International Examinations framework with Egyptian Ministry of Education requirements. The school teaches the Early Years Foundation Stage and five English National Curriculum Key Stages, progressing through Key Stages 1 to 5, including O-Levels, Cambridge AS Levels and Cambridge A Levels. Students prepare for Cambridge Progression Tests and Checkpoints, while Arabic language, social and religious studies are fulfilled for local requirements. The Ring Road – Ain Sukhna Exit campus in Katameya features spacious play areas, three multipurpose courts and a football field, plus classrooms with interactive smart boards, laptops and tablets connected by high-speed internet. The library and computing facilities support digital learning. Extracurriculars, offered by teachers and external experts with online sign-up, include KS1 drama and cultural days such as French & German Day and International Day, plus leadership and community service opportunities.

The day starts at 07:45, classes begin at 08:00, Snack Break 10:20–10:40, Lunch Break 12:40–13:10, school day ends at 15:00, buses leave at 15:15.
Bus service operates year-round on modern air‑conditioned buses seating up to 25 students; routes cover Maadi, Zahraa el Maadi, Helwan, Mokattam, Nasr City, Heliopolis, New Cairo, Rehab, Haram, Agouza and Mohandeseen.
Windrose Academy teaches British Curriculum, EYFS (Early years foundation stage), Cambridge International AS Levels, Cambridge A Levels for students aged 3 to 17.
UK Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) Curriculum is followed, while the Egyptian Ministry of Education requirements for Arabic language, social and religious studies are fulfilled. The curriculum is organized around the five English National Curriculum Key Stages and the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, covering Foundation Stage (FS1–FS2), Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3, O-Level and AS/A Levels. Cambridge assessments underpin progress with Progression Tests and Checkpoints, providing detailed feedback and enabling comparisons with learners worldwide. The school emphasizes holistic development with a wide range of extracurricular activities and a well-resourced library and computing facilities to support learning.
In the 2023-2024 academic year, Primary Checkpoint results showed Year 6 students achieving outstanding (41–50) in all three core subjects, while Lower Secondary Checkpoint results showed Year 8 students achieving outstanding (41–50) in all three core subjects. Highest scores in English were achieved by Gasser Mohamed Lotfy, Jana Haytham Nagy, Layla Mohamed Fawzy and Yehia Loaii Eldin; Highest scores in Mathematics were achieved by Hamza Ahmed Dowedar, Hana Nazmy Aly, Mohamed Moataz Mostafa, Momen Wael Younis, Peter Medhat and Yehia Loaii Eldin; Highest scores in Science were achieved by Ali Bassem El Liethy, Hana Ashraf Elhabashy, Jana Ahmed Omama, Jana Haytham Nadgy, Peter Medhat, Saha Basel Imbabi and Yehia Loaii Eldin.
Windrose Academy focuses on holistic development for students, including social and personal growth. The curriculum supports academic learning with a wide range of extracurricular activities. Educators pay close attention to social and developmental skills to help children interact effectively in a complex, changing world. Students engage actively in the learning process and are encouraged to express themselves. The library and computer facilities help students explore and develop their talents.

Admission is open for students from Foundation Stage 1 to Year 12. STEP 1: Our school has an open door policy. To learn more about Windrose Academy, you are welcome to visit us or book a tour (09:00, 11:00 and 13:00, Sunday to Wednesday). Each tour lasts approximately 30 minutes. STEP 2: Start the application process by providing us with all the needed information about the applicant and the family. You can do that online using the following link. To complete your application, submit the following documents to the Registrar's office: Birth certificate; 6 photos; Previous reports; Copy of parent's ID; Transfer documents. STEP 3: After completing steps 1 and 2, you will be contacted by the Registrar's office to schedule an assessment with a member of our academic team. The assessment is conducted by the academic team. STEP 4: The Registrar's office will inform you of the outcome of the assessment via email. In the event that your child is accepted: An offer letter and terms and conditions of enrolment will be sent to you. Please print, sign and return the attached documents to the Registrar's Office. Please pay the required amount within 7 working days (the first instalment is required along with the requested documents to complete the registration process. Only then will a place be booked for your child). Admission can be granted throughout the year and is subject to the availability of places and the successful completion of the assessment.
