History
Tallinnan suomalainen koulu is one of Finland's official overseas schools, governed by the Finland-registered Tallinnan suomalaisen koulun tuki ry, and it holds teaching licenses from both Finland and Estonia, enabling it to follow the Finnish curriculum and issue Finnish school-year and graduation certificates. The school began in 1994–1995 after Alina-Sinikka Salonen's Helsingin Sanomat article, and was authorized in June 1995 to operate as Tallinn's Finnish School, opening in August 1995 with 22 students and two teachers at Sikupilli Keskkool. In 1997 it moved to Old Town (Uus 34) as enrollment grew; from 2003 preschool and primary education has been offered, and high school studies began through Hämeenlinna Adult High School and since autumn 2012 via Eiran Aikuislukio. A larger Kadriorg building opened in 2011, and notable events include a 2016 visit by President Niinistö and First Lady Jenni Haukio (who donated pesäpallomailat and räpylät used in PE), 2018 enrollment of 87, a 2020 shift to remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, and a 2022 move to Pirita tee 12 after lease changes.

Community
