History

The Addis Ababa-Sarbet Campuses began education in 2021. The Addis Ababa Campus offers primary and secondary education, while the Sarbet Campus offers kindergarten education. The campuses feature modern classrooms and laboratories for physics, biology, chemistry and computing. The schools are affiliated with Türkiye Maarif Foundation. As of 2025, the two campuses educate 642 students and employ 125 staff.

Community

Maarif Schools organize social and cultural activities to develop harmony with social rules, communication, responsibility and cultural understanding. The activities include visits to cultural and historical sites and social institutions, student clubs, study projects, graduation ceremonies, performances, poetry and folk arts, sports tournaments, exhibitions, fairs and youth camps.

International Maarif Schools of Ethiopia – Addis Ababa comprises two campuses established in 2021: the Addis Ababa Campus (primary and secondary) and Sarbet Campus (kindergarten). The schools deliver education in English through Cambridge IGCSE (International Cambridge Curriculum) and are affiliated with Türkiye Maarif Foundation. As of 2025, two campuses educate 642 students and employ 125 staff. Classrooms and science laboratories support learning in physics, biology, chemistry and computing; the CMC Campus has 26 classrooms in addition to its labs. Addis Ababa Campus covers primary and secondary stages, while Sarbet focuses on early years. Students have access to sports facilities including a football field, a basketball court and open areas. An active extracurricular program includes visits to cultural and historical sites, student clubs and performances, and a Career Follow-up and Guidance System supports graduates. Turkish language and culture are taught through cultural clubs, with English as the common language of instruction.
