International Maarif Schools of Ethiopia, Mekelle Campus, operates within the Türkiye Maarif Foundation network. Opened in 2023-2024, the campus spans about 20,000 square metres and serves Kindergarten through High School. As of 2025, it educates 957 students and employs 121 staff, making it the only international school in Mekelle region. The school delivers a bespoke curriculum with Cambridge Primary and Cambridge Secondary as supporting resources, while the Ethiopian National Curriculum is implemented in English. Cambridge textbooks supplement learning across the school day. Facilities include 39 classrooms, a library, five dining halls, two laboratories, two technology classrooms, two restrooms, and a music and art classroom. The campus features 24/7 private security, spacious sports fields for football, basketball, and volleyball, and a garden for outdoor activities. Extracurricular life emphasizes garden-based activities, social and cultural clubs, school journals, musical and theatrical performances, sports tournaments, and a range of projects and exhibitions for students.
