History

Founded in 1992, the International School of Vantaa serves grades 1-9 with about 670 students. Instruction is predominantly in English for pupils with English fluency. The school operates within the Finnish National Board of Education framework but offers a tailor-made curriculum built around thematic units. From grade 4, electives include French, Spanish, Swedish and German, with Swedish commencing in grade 6 as a compulsory course. Student selection is based on oral and/or written assessment in English, and the premises are in Kartanonkoski, including a daycare center and a public library.

Community

Education at ISV is built on lifelong learning and aims for pupils to act in a democratic society with responsible decisions and independent choices.
