Deutsche Internationale Schule Tbilissi is a German-Georgian encounter school for students aged 3 to 18. It belongs to Germany's network of over 140 Auslandsschulen and uses a bespoke curriculum. In the Sekundarstufe, the education plan follows the German state of Thuringia, with the school's curricula building on it. Since 2021/2022 the school offers 12 classes (grades 1–12) and graduates with the Deutsches Internationales Abitur (DIAP). Quereinsteiger can obtain the Hauptschulabschluss after grade 9 and the Realschulabschluss after grade 10. Grade 5 is an orientation stage with an individual pathway recommendation, and the school maintains close contact with students and parents. English is taught from grade 3 and French from grade 6; Georgian is taught as a mother tongue for Georgian-language students and as a foreign language for others. The Bagebi campus opened in 2017 and comprises two wings of classrooms, specialist rooms and a multipurpose hall, with spaces until 17:00.
