Extra-Curricular Activities

Clubs, activities, and opportunities to explore interests and passions

Academic and Intellectual

STEM Club operates across all three Progress schools, supported by a well‑equipped laboratory that enables integrated STEM learning. In the STEM Club, students develop quantitative thinking, build with Lego and other constructions, plan and implement projects, and learn the basics of engineering and electronics, including robotics and modeling. Model UN Club thrives across all three campuses, with weekly sessions for students in grades 7–12 to discuss international affairs and participate in simulations. The Debate Club provides a platform for argumentative reasoning and critical thinking, fostering intellectual discourse.

Arts and Creative

Drama Club provides a space for students to develop acting and directing skills. Main activities include acting, directing, dramaturgy, trainings and seminars, and staging productions. Felt Circle brings students together to work with felt to create artworks, developing creativity and self‑expression. At year‑end, student works are exhibited and presented to audiences.

Cultural and Language

The English Reading Club aims to raise literacy, improve reading skills, and spark interest in reading. Members read a variety of English‑language short works throughout the year and discuss characters and plots to develop analytical and critical thinking. They complete exercises including text analysis and comprehension and prepare presentations about their readings to improve public speaking. At year's end, they participate in a competition based on the studied works to assess reading skills.

Social and Hobbies

Drama Club offers acting and directing experiences and involvement in theatre productions. Felt Circle brings together students to create felt artworks, fostering creativity and collaboration. Participation is open to any student with interest, supporting social interaction and teamwork among peers.

Community and Service

Non‑formal Education includes about 20 clubs and projects across all campuses, synchronized in their activities. Students apply science to real‑world problems, develop programs and products, and learn about business operations, often participating in competitions and exhibitions of their entrepreneurial products. The Civic Education Club began in 2016, establishing informal education as a distinct area and expanding across all three schools.

Leadership and Professional

Student Self‑Government is reconstituted at the start of each school year through secret ballots by basic and secondary students. One‑year terms are held for President, Vice‑President, and Secretary. The President, Vice‑President and Secretary, together with other members, implement a strategic plan, organize events, and actively create a diverse educational environment through formal and informal activities. The overarching aim is to maximize student involvement in school governance.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

Personal Development Club focuses on emotional well‑being and mental health. Through discussions and practical activities, students build emotional intelligence, learn stress management, and express themselves authentically. The club aims to develop confidence and coping skills, and participation is open to any interested student.
