Byron College was established in 1986 in Athens. The student body numbers just over 560, with students from more than 50 national backgrounds and around 30% Greek. The language of instruction is English, and the UK National Curriculum is enriched to reflect the Greek context and the college ethos. The school operates on a single campus for ages 3–18, with cross-age mixing and mentoring between older and younger students. From Early Years to Year 9 the curriculum follows the UK Key Stage model, Years 10–11 prepare for IGCSE, and the Sixth Form offers AS/A-Levels; Byron also administers Ellinomathia examinations, with Edexcel and Cambridge awarding bodies.
Byron Action fosters student volunteerism beyond the classroom. Students participate in community service projects, fundraising, and volunteer initiatives across Athens, developing empathy and cultural awareness.
