Tuition expressed as instalments / per-term style billing (standard options used by the school)
- The school issues a yearly invoice and offers standard instalment plans. Typical options published for recent years are:
- Five-installment plan: larger first instalment in June (includes registration/ancillary items and, for new pupils, the one-time enrollment charge) and four further payments spaced through the school year (examples and amounts vary by year).
- Ten-installment plan: a larger first instalment in June (includes registration/ancillary items and, for new pupils, the one-time enrollment charge) followed by nine monthly or near-monthly instalments through the following spring.
- Instalment amounts and exact due dates are set and communicated by the school with the annual billing; the school's communications for recent years show due dates around mid-September, mid-October, mid-December, mid-February, mid-April (for the 5‑installment plan) or the equivalent schedule for 10 instalments.
Billing schedule and payment terms
- The tuition is charged for the full school year and is ordinarily billed for the full year; when a pupil joins during the school year the tuition is calculated on a pro rata (monthly) basis.
- Advance-payment discount is available for payment by bank transfer or via the DIAS payment system by the published deadline (example: the deadline for the 2025/26 discount was 31 July 2025).
Refund and withdrawal rules
- If a family withdraws (cancels an enrolment) before 31 August of the relevant year, the one-time enrollment charge already paid and any school fees already paid are refunded. For withdrawals after that date or other cases, refunds and exceptions (e.g., for serious health or proven reasons) are handled on an individual case basis in line with the school's regulations. Tuition for the year is otherwise treated as an annual obligation and is prorated only when a pupil is admitted during the school year.
Boarding
- Boarding is not applicable; the DSA operates kindergarten, primary and secondary day programmes (no school boarding / internat provision).
Other potential / occasional additional costs
- School trips, excursions, extra-curricular clubs or special projects and potential holiday-care weeks (summer camp / holiday supervision) are charged separately as additional costs when applicable.
Payment methods accepted
- Bank transfer to the school's Greek account (example IBAN for Alpha Bank used in recent communications: GR30 0140 1100 1100 0232 0013 342) and transfers to the German account of the school association (example Deutsche Bank IBAN: DE75 5007 0010 0074 6412 02) are accepted; bank-transfer charges are borne by the payer.
- Payment via the Greek DIAS payments system / e‑banking (the school uses a persistent RF / payment code for each pupil) is the preferred and cost-effective payment channel.
- Payments at the school cashier by Visa or MasterCard and payments by Greek bank day‑checks are also available options.

Deutsche Schule Athen (DSA) is a German overseas school in Athens, founded in 1896. It serves students from ages 3 to 18, offering Kindergarten through Sekundarstufe II, with a final DIA qualification that enables access to higher education in Germany and many countries. The curriculum is German, with a pronounced Greek emphasis, and instruction is bilingual: many subjects are taught in German while others are taught in Greek. At Profil D (grades 5–12) and Profil E (7–12), German instruction remains central, with electives such as Altgriechisch, French, and Informatik to broaden study options and future pathways. The school maintains a Maroussi campus with classrooms, an auditorium, a roofed outdoor pool, and a new athletics arena (opened 2022). DSA offers extracurriculars, including debate and MUN (DSAMUN), a tradition in theatre, and community service and ecological initiatives. Exchange programs with Germany and language and cultural activities support intercultural understanding and higher education.
