Extra-Curricular Activities

Clubs, activities, and opportunities to explore interests and passions

Academic and Intellectual

Racecar Challenge is a Python and robotics program based on MIT Beaver Works' Racecar Neo Mathisi 2026. Teams register through Pierce, complete Racecar Neo Mathisi 2026 and Python Core, and then compete on a Grand Prix–style track designed by the organizers; the final Racecar Challenge is scheduled for May 9, 2026. Pierce Mathematics Academy participates in national events such as the 5th Puzzle Festival in Kastelló-rizo. Pierce students also participate in international governance simulations such as Harvard Model Congress Europe (HMCE) in Brussels (2025).

Arts and Creative

Arts opportunities include the English Drama Club, the Orchestra, and the Choir, which provide venues for performance, acting, and musical expression. The English Drama Club focuses on acting and stage activities, while musical groups offer performance opportunities and artistic collaboration. Pierce also hosts other arts-related activities through its student clubs and programs.

Cultural and Language

Pierce supports cultural and language development through Model United Nations (MUN) and Harvard Model Congress Europe (HMCE) activities, fostering international engagement and debate. HMCE is described as one of the world's leading governance simulations, with Pierce students earning distinctions at the Brussels conference in 2025. UNESCO clubs and Brain Gain excursions further broaden cultural horizons, including a Lisbon trip to explore UNESCO sites and Portuguese culture.

Social and Hobbies

Pierce offers a broad slate of student clubs such as MUN, Forensics, English Drama Club, and Podcast-ers, which cultivate public speaking, research, debate, and creative expression. Members participate in national and international conferences and publish work through school platforms. These activities enhance teamwork, communication, and leadership among peers.

Community and Service

Pierce runs community-service initiatives, including philanthropic student activities at East Campus such as food offerings to local social services and visits to shelters (e.g., Filothei Girls' Shelter). Open House 2025 featured a charity raffle supporting social initiatives. Students have also contributed by volunteering and donating goods to local institutions, reflecting the school motto Non ministrari sed ministrare.

Leadership and Professional

Pierce runs the Pierce Leadership Academy (PLA), a two-week summer program in leadership for international and local students, with all activities conducted in English. The program includes immersive classes, simulations, workshops, and field trips to develop leadership and entrepreneurial skills; scholarships are available for PLA participants. Pierce's AI initiatives receive industry backing, including UBITECH sponsorship for AI-related programs and competitions.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

Pierce's Summer Camp runs for three weeks and aims to develop athletic and artistic skills for children aged 6–13, conducted mainly in Greek with English support as needed; activities take place on the East Campus and on the ACG campus. The program emphasizes physical activity, creativity, and cultural experiences, balancing sport, arts, and science in a supervised setting.
