Greek and English are the core languages used at Pierce. Apart from Greek A Literature, the language of instruction for all other subjects is English; English A Language and Literature and English B are offered in the IB DP. English is used for assignments, projects, and announcements, while Greek is used by some teachers outside the classroom. Students entering the IB DP have studied a third language (German, French, Spanish or Italian) in years 7–9.
Pierce offers bilingual education in Greek and English. The language of teaching and learning for all subjects is English, apart from Greek A Literature, and Greek remains the official language of instruction under Greek Ministry rules. The English-language program is strong and includes at least six English periods per week, using materials intended for native English speakers. In the IB Diploma Programme, all courses except Modern Greek A are taught and assessed in English.
Pierce is a private, co-educational day school serving students aged 3 to 18. It forms part of The American College of Greece and delivers both the Greek national curriculum and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The school operates on two campuses: East Campus in Spata, opened in 2022, housing Pre-K through Year 12, and the Agia Paraskevi campus, offering a full range of secondary facilities. East Campus features athletic facilities, laboratories, a Home Cinema, libraries, a dining hall and a faculty lounge, while Agia Paraskevi provides Olympic-level athletics venues, an Olympic-size swimming pool, theatre spaces and dedicated study areas. The IB DP follows the six subject groups, with TOK, CAS and EE as core elements, and university guidance provided by the counselor and DP Coordinator.
