The American School of Guatemala (CAG), founded in 1945, is an independent, non-profit, non-denominational college preparatory school in Guatemala City. The school serves students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12 across three divisions: Lower School, Middle School, and High School. It offers 25+ AP courses including the AP Capstone Diploma. Over 90 international educators teach at the school, with 75% holding master's degrees or higher. Students from 24 nationalities attend. Graduates have earned over $3 million in annual scholarships, with 70% of seniors attending college outside Guatemala. The school has over 5,400 alumni.
