Let the school know you're thinking of applying — they can share their prerequisites and help you through the process.
It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
Step 1 — Research and campus visits: Start by researching Guidepost Hong Kong programs and locations. You can visit any campus for a private tour, attend events, or request a meeting with the Head of School. The admissions team can provide details on program availability, the daily schedule, and current tuition rates. Book a time that fits your schedule to obtain the most current information.
Step 2 — Submit the application: When you are ready, submit an online application form and specify your preferred program and location. If you are applying for the primary school, you should contact admissions for guidance on that option. The team will acknowledge receipt and outline the next steps in the process.
Step 3 — Space availability and offer: If space is available for your desired program and start date, the Head of School will offer your child a space. An offer is conditional on completing the enrollment steps and providing required information. You will receive a formal offer and instructions on how to proceed.
Step 4 — Enrollment form and administrative fee: After receiving an offer, submit the enrollment form to secure your child's place. A non-refundable administrative fee of HKD 1,500 applies to all new admissions, effective January 2026. The enrollment fee is paid to finalize the placement and begin the onboarding process.
Step 5 — Rolling admissions and primary-school note: Guidepost Hong Kong operates rolling admissions, enabling starting opportunities as spaces become available. For the primary school, a meeting with families is required ahead of an enrollment offer being made. Plan ahead to accommodate these steps and potential scheduling needs.
Step 6 — Start date and onboarding: Once you have an offer and have submitted the enrollment form and admin fee, you will set a start date with the Head of School. You will receive onboarding information and next-step guidance to prepare for your child's first days in the chosen program.
There is no published waitlist policy described on the Hong Kong admissions pages.

Guidepost Montessori Happy Valley Hawthorn Road offers a specialized early childhood education within a "cozy community school" setting on Hong Kong Island. The campus distinguishes itself with a private outdoor play space—a rare feature in this densely populated city—allowing for daily outdoor exploration and gross motor activities. Following the authentic Montessori method, the school provides a dual-language learning environment where children aged 2 to 6 engage with English and Mandarin through immersive daily interaction. The curriculum is centered on the "Children’s House" program, which utilizes scientifically designed materials to foster independence, concentration, and practical life skills. Uniquely, the school integrates enrichment programs such as "Montessori Kitchen," where students develop mathematical and sensory skills through cooking, and "Mini Makers," a creative arts module focused on design and construction. This campus provides a gentle, structured transition into formal schooling for families valuing a child-led approach.
