Admissions

How to apply, waitlist information, and financial support

Admissions Process

1. Submit Application: Parents begin by completing the online application form, providing required documents (e.g., birth certificate, passport/ID, previous school reports) and paying the non-refundable assessment fee (HKD 500 for Years 7-10).

2. Assessment & Interview: Candidates for Years 7-10 undertake a written test in English and Mathematics, followed by an interview with the Principal or Deputy Principal; the aim is to determine academic placement and identify strengths and needs.

3. Offer & Acceptance: The school issues a Letter of Acceptance, a Tuition Fee Schedule, Terms & Conditions and an invoice for the first month’s fees; parents must sign the offer and pay the invoice to secure the place.

4. Enrolment Documents: Before the start of term, families must submit completed enrollment forms including Direct Debit Authorisation, Photo Release Consent, Medical Form, pick-up card, address proof and immunisation records; non-Hong Kong permanent residents must present a valid Hong Kong visa.

5. Commencement: Once all documents and fees are settled, students begin their programme in the new academic year at the school, following the published school-calendar and schedule.

Waitlist

The school states that submission of an application does not guarantee a place; decisions are made at the discretion of the school based on its enrolment criteria. It does not publicly describe a formal waitlist or pool system with published movement rules or ranking mechanisms. Parents should apply early and ensure their application is complete to maximise chances of securing a place.

Scholarships and Financial Aid

The school offers a Scholarship Programme open to both new and existing students who demonstrate outstanding academic performance or exceptional talent (e.g., in music). Applicants are invited for an interview, and successful candidates may receive a tuition-fee remission of between 25% and 50% of the basic annual tuition. Scholarship application windows open at various times during the year; decisions are notified in writing within three weeks.

Invictus International School’s Chai Wan campus is the English-medium secondary site for Years 7–13 on Hong Kong Island. Students follow the Cambridge pathway—Lower Secondary in Years 7–9, IGCSE in Years 10–11, and A-Levels in Years 12–13—leading to widely recognised qualifications for university entry. The campus includes interactive classrooms, a science lab, computer lab, and a theatre, with access to nearby government sports facilities. Set beside country park trails at the end of Tai Tam Road, it’s about five minutes by bus from Sai Wan Ho or Chai Wan MTR, offering easy Island Line connections. A notable feature is the clear subject progression to A-Levels at Key Stage 5, allowing students to select subject combinations to match future degree plans.
