Let the school know you're thinking of applying — they can share their prerequisites and help you through the process.
It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
Over 50 extra-curricular activities are offered each year, most included in school fees. ECAs are offered before school, at lunchtimes and after school, with staff planning most activities and external providers enhancing the offering. Prep ECAs include Battle of Books, Chess, Coding, Lego STEM, and other academic activities. Senior ECAs include Debate Club, Model United Nations, World Scholar's Cup and HKAYP (Bronze & Silver), among others.
Expressive Arts are a core part of the curriculum, supplemented by regular concerts, performances and assemblies. The Kowloon Bay auditorium provides a professional setting for concerts, performances and presentations. Art and music are taught by specialist teachers, and prep art and music are part of the curriculum. Senior ECAs include Choir, Instrumental Ensembles, Jazz Band, Musical, Drama / LAMDA, Orchestra, Visual Art, Life Drawing, Rock Music and Dance Crew.
A broad range of social and hobby clubs runs across both campuses, including Chess, Hobby Club, Move Monkeys and Dance Crew. Senior ECAs include E-sports, World Scholar's Cup and Dart Club. Students may also join the Prep Student Council to help plan activities and discuss ideas.
HKAYP Bronze and Silver is offered to Year 10+ students and leads to Gold; it comprises Skill, Service, Physical Recreation and Expeditions, with a Residential Project for Gold. The program includes five sections and many students complete the Bronze Award by the middle of Year 11. Room to Read and Mother's Choice Youth Leadership Council are part of community-service oriented ECAs.
HKAYP provides Bronze and Silver and fosters leadership development. Students in Senior School have leadership opportunities through Head Students, House Captains, Prefects and the School Council. Sixth Form leadership opportunities are described in Life in Sixth Form and related pages.
Wellbeing provision is highlighted as world‑class in the Senior School. The Kowloon Bay campus features a CrossFit gym, a dance hall, a theatre and a Sky Pitch with a running track, plus an adjustable swimming pool. Global Outlook Week (GO Week) runs each autumn with trips and activities focused on the Global Goals for Sustainable Development. A new Sixth Form Centre is planned to open in August 2026 across from the Kowloon Bay Campus.
Kellett’s Kowloon Bay campus brings together a two-form Preparatory School and a four-form Senior & Sixth Form on one site, following the English National Curriculum through I/GCSEs to A-Levels. Facilities include a theatre, swimming pool and a rooftop Sky Pitch, supporting extensive sport and expressive arts. Wellbeing is embedded through the Positively Kellett programme and a deep pastoral structure with trained counsellors. Students engage in public speaking (LAMDA) and a wide co-curricular offer, while community work runs under the Kellett Cares banner with multi-year NGO partnerships selected by students. The campus opened in 2013 and is reachable by dedicated school buses operated by Lewis Motors. Instruction is in English; languages offered include Chinese (Mandarin), French and Spanish. Typical class sizes are capped at 24 in Prep, with smaller groups at I/GCSE and A-Level.
