Pok Fu Lam Preparatory School occupies two main buildings, Mountain Wing and Ocean Wing. Facilities include a large multi-use auditorium, a gymnasium, a library, a science laboratory, a dance and drama studio, an ICT suite, a language laboratory, a SEN learning support base, music rooms and an art studio. Outdoor spaces include an astroturf playground, an adventure playground and a vegetable patch for play and outdoor learning. An indoor covered area serves Reception and Year 1, and the campus is serviced by a bus network with two car parks nearby.
The Pok Fu Lam campus provides a gymnasium for physical education and an astroturf playground for outdoor sport. Outdoor and indoor spaces support a range of PE and recreational activities, complemented by the campus's covered area for early years.
The Prep curriculum is delivered on the English National Curriculum with a modified approach. Class sizes are capped at 24 students, and Pok Fu Lam runs three classes per year group. Reception has a full-time teaching assistant, Years 1–4 have a part-time assistant, and Years 5–6 have an assistant across the year group. A 1:1 iPad programme is in place for Years 1–6, with iPads also available in Reception. Specialist teaching is provided in physical education, music, art, Mandarin, public speaking and digital skills.
Expressive Arts are a core part of the curriculum, supplemented by regular concerts, performances and assemblies. Art and music are taught by specialist teachers, and the Prep School has its own dedicated art, music and multi-purpose PE/performance venue. The school stages annual musicals and other performances, with opportunities for public speaking and artistic showcases.
Kellett’s Pok Fu Lam Preparatory School serves ages 4–11 on Hong Kong Island’s south side, in Wah Fu at the foot of Mount Kellett. Reception follows the EYFS, moving to a modified English National Curriculum with specialist teaching in subjects including Mandarin, music, art, PE, public speaking and digital skills; classes are capped at 24 and Pok Fu Lam runs three classes per year group. Facilities include a multi-use auditorium, gym, library, science lab, drama and dance studios, ICT and language labs, music rooms, art studio, and a SEN learning support base. The school day at PFL runs 8:30–15:15 with scheduled breaks by year group. Families use a dedicated Kwoon Chung bus service. Distinctive programmes include Innovation in Prep and whole-school wellbeing via “Positively Kellett.” Graduating Prep pupils typically continue within Kellett’s through-train pathway to Senior in Kowloon Bay.
