The Kiangsu & Chekiang International Section (KCIS) holds several external accreditations.
- IB World School (International Baccalaureate Organisation, IBO): KCIS's through-train pathway integrates the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) and KCIS/KCCIS is recognised by the IBO as an IB World School. This status indicates formal authorization to offer the DP and adherence to IB standards for curriculum, assessment and university preparation.
- Accreditation International (Ai): KCIS has been accredited by Accreditation International since June 2015, which provides international accreditation across multiple education sectors and represents external validation of KCIS's school quality. Ai's role covers five fields of education and supports ongoing improvement through external review.
- National Council for Private School Accreditation (NCPSA): KCIS is listed with NCPSA, a national body that reviews private school accrediting associations and works to recognize quality private school accreditation standards. This signals external quality assurance for KCIS as a private international-section school.
Publicly posted awards at KCIS are not listed on the school site for the last five years. The site does publish academic results (for example, GCSE/IGCSE results in 2024–2025 and IB Diploma results in 2024–2025), which reflect achievement at the student level and overall program performance, but there is no public, school-level award inventory. Examples of published achievements include:
- GCSE/IGCSE results 2024–2025: 97.0% pass rate. 43.7% with A–A/9–7 distinctions.
- IB Diploma results 2024–2025: 97% of full IB Diploma candidates were successful. Mean DP score around 34.
