Academic and Intellectual

Lam Tai Fai College offers co-curricular activities that extend academic and intellectual learning beyond the classroom. The STEAM School Team works on cross-disciplinary projects across science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, with opportunities to compete and showcase work. The Chinese Debate Team provides regular practice and participation in public speaking and debate activities. Arts and Creative

LTFC offers a broad range of arts and creative activities beyond the classroom. The Art & Fashion Design Club focuses on visual arts and fashion design, organizing school-wide events such as fashion shows and workshops, and coordinating exhibition visits. The Dance Society runs regular workshops and performs at events including the Fashion Show and singing contests. The Chinese Drama Club provides opportunities to write, rehearse, and perform theatre, including inter-school drama events and productions.

Cultural and Language

LTFC runs a Chinese Culture program that emphasizes engagement with Chinese heritage. The Chinese Culture Museum hosts activities, Chinese Culture Day, lectures, audio-visual morning assemblies, and cultural trips to experience Chinese culture. The program comprises seven pillars: Chinese Culture Museum, Chinese Culture Day, thematic lectures, audio-visual morning assemblies, cultural activities, library Chinese culture collections, and off-campus cultural experiences and study visits. The Chinese Culture Society supports these activities with ongoing campus programming.

Social and Hobbies

LTFC supports social and hobby activities through its School Teams, Student Union, Houses, Societies & Clubs, Uniform Groups, and a Services Group. The Student Union (2025-2026) is led by student officers and provides governance and event-planning opportunities. The Houses system organizes inter-house activities and fosters teamwork and belonging. Societies and clubs include the Art & Fashion Design Club, Chinese Culture Society, Christian Fellowship, Dance Society, and Chinese Drama Club, offering a diverse range of social and leisure pursuits beyond classes.

Community and Service

LTFC integrates community service through Service Learning within Health Education. Service Learning activities are embedded in the curriculum to promote civic responsibility and social awareness, with a focus on mental wellness and personal growth. Students participate in community service projects that connect classroom learning to real-world needs. The program supports experiential learning and collaboration with community partners.

Leadership and Professional

LTFC provides leadership and professional development through the Student Union and Careers Education. The Student Union offers governance experience, with elected leaders and roles such as president, treasurer, and secretary. Careers Education includes major tasks such as raising self-awareness, guiding career interests, and expanding horizons; it provides career talks, university visits, information days, and individual career counselling. The program also features activities like career talks, university visits, and information sessions designed to prepare students for higher education and work.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

LTFC supports lifestyle and wellbeing through a comprehensive Sports Education program and whole-school health initiatives. The sports program offers core fitness training and focus sports, and participates in events such as the Hong Kong Primary Schools Basketball and Fencing Championships, with a schedule across year groups. The school emphasizes mental, physical, and social health as part of its health education and wellness initiatives, including service-learning and health promotion. The school was recognized as an Advanced School under the Whole School Health Programme for promoting physical activity and mental and social health.

Lam Tai Fai College is a Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS) English-medium secondary school in Sha Tin, New Territories, Hong Kong. It opened in September 2004 with a curriculum that blends academic study with sports, fashion design, and innovative technology, and emphasizes Art & Fashion Design, Sports Development, Health Education, Innovative Technology and Chinese Culture. The school serves junior and senior secondary students (S1–S6) under the Hong Kong secondary system, with the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) as the senior qualification. The campus features facilities such as an Innovation and Technology Centre, a Library and Learning Resources Centre, a Fashion Centre, and STEM labs, plus extensive co-curricular and partnership programmes. LTFC also runs the Partnership School Programme to support elite student athletes balancing sport and study. Co-curricular activities include a range of school teams, uniform groups and student clubs that encourage sport, arts, culture and service.
