Three low-rise campuses on South Lantau—Cheung Sha, Tong Fuk, and Pui O—provide private outdoor space for students to play outside the classrooms. Each campus hosts a different stage of primary education, with Reception at Cheung Sha, Lower Primary at Tong Fuk, and Upper Primary at Pui O. The school follows the British Curriculum with strong Mandarin instruction and offers a bilingual English–Mandarin Reception Class, with Mandarin classes multiple times a week in primary. There is a library with over 5,000 books and all learning materials are free of charge. Access to the campuses is provided by school buses and public transport and there is an emphasis on outdoor and nature-based learning.
Outdoor spaces across campuses support physical education. Regular P.E. classes on the beach are part of the program. The Tong Fuk campus features a monkey bar and a large jungle gym to develop strength, balance and coordination.
L.I.S. provides schooling in English from Reception to Primary 6, with a bilingual Mandarin-English Reception Class and Mandarin classes several times a week at primary level. The school follows the British Curriculum and administers National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER) assessments twice a year from Primary 1 to Primary 6. Core subjects include English, maths, science, and additional subjects such as history, geography, art, physical education and music. From Primary 4 to Primary 6, weekly computer and coding lessons using robots are taught, and Mathletics supplements maths instruction. The school promotes reading and runs a Summer Reading Challenge. All teachers are native English speakers, hold education degrees, and are registered with the Hong Kong Education Bureau.
The school offers a variety of after-school clubs during term time; the 2025-26 fee is HK$1,800 for 10 sessions. Holidays clubs including a summer club are available, and clubs may vary year to year. Proposals from external instructors to host clubs are welcomed, and clubs can be opened to non-L.I.S. students.
The Pui O campus, serving Primary 4 to 6, offers English-medium instruction under the British Curriculum with additional Mandarin lessons several times per week. Core subjects include English, mathematics, science, history, geography, and the arts, alongside weekly computer and coding classes that introduce robotics and digital literacy. Students take twice-yearly NFER assessments to track academic progress. The campus is located in Lo Wai Tsuen near Pui O Beach, providing opportunities for outdoor education such as physical education, hiking, and nature study. Small class sizes and experienced teachers help prepare students for transition to secondary education while maintaining a supportive and community-oriented atmosphere.
