Tai Po Campus offers Pre-Nursery and Kindergarten programmes for children from 6 months to 6 years. The Kindergarten uses a bilingual co-class teaching approach with native English and native Mandarin teachers, enabling daily activities in both languages and building bilingual and biliterate abilities. The curriculum centers on inquiry-based learning with a mix of music, stories, movement, arts, language, physical and sensory activities to stimulate thinking and development. Learning spaces include a bilingual library, a Music Room, a Sensory Area, an Indoor Playground, a Sports Field and an Outdoor Garden to support exploration.
The Tai Po Campus provides spaces for arts and creative expression, including a Music Room and an Art Room, plus an Indoor Playground and a Gym Room for younger children. The ECA Programme offers activities such as English Language Arts (Phonics and Public Speaking) and Mandarin Language Arts (Mandarin literacy). Creative offerings include Musical Theatre, Pitter Painter Arts (Mandarin), Mini-Chef (English), Ballet, Jazz and Multi-Sports. These enrichments support creativity and physical development.
The school offers a 50/50 English–Mandarin bilingual programme, with three streams: Bilingual (50:50 English & Mandarin), Pure English, and Pure Mandarin. Mandarin instruction uses Traditional Chinese characters. Each classroom is guided by a native English-speaking teacher and a native Mandarin-speaking teacher, enabling immersion in both languages and cultures. The programme aims to develop fluency in English and Mandarin and foster appreciation of Chinese language and culture.
The ECA Programme covers Language Arts (English Phonics & Public Speaking; Mandarin Literacy) and Mandarin language development, Life Skills & S.T.E.A.M (English), Musical Theatre, Mandarin arts activities, and a range of sports including Little Movers, Ballet, Jazz and Multi-Sports. These activities promote social skills, confidence, teamwork and physical development through structured experiences.
The Tai Po Campus is led by Head of School Ms Laura. Ms Laura holds a Higher National Diploma in Early Year Childhood Education, a Certificate in English Language Teaching to Young Learners, and over 15 years of experience in early childhood education. The Vice Principal (Admissions & Operations) is Ms Faye, who has a Master of Arts in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language and more than 12 years of experience. The Tai Po team includes English- and Mandarin-speaking educators; average staff experience exceeds 20 years and most curriculum staff hold Master's Degrees.
The Tai Po Campus spans 20,000 square feet with 10 brightly lit classrooms and spaces for indoor and outdoor learning, including a tree-house-style indoor area, an outdoor garden, a bilingual library, a Music Room, and a Sensory & Light Room. Facilities also include an Indoor Playground and a Sports Field. Daily routines include Outdoor Play, Inquiry, and Language activities in both English and Mandarin, along with Self-Care and Sports. From mid-August each year, there is a 2–3 week transition period to help children settle into the new learning environment.
Mulberry House International Kindergarten’s Tai Po Campus is a 20,000 sq ft bilingual pre-school and kindergarten located at Mayfair By The Sea in Pak Shek Kok, close to the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Science Park. Children aged 6 months to 6 years follow an inquiry-based curriculum guided by the UK Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, with a strong focus on English and Mandarin bilingualism. The campus offers bright classrooms opening onto an indoor playground, a music room, a sensory area, a sports field, an outdoor garden and a bilingual library. Mulberry House Families can choose dual-language, pure English or pure Mandarin streams, supported by native-speaking early years educators. A distinctive feature of the campus is its Forest School and daily outdoor play, which are built into the regular timetable and complemented by enrichment options such as Language Arts, S.T.E.A.M., Musical Theatre, arts and sports activities.
