Let the school know you're thinking of applying — they can share their prerequisites and help you through the process.
It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
1. Book a school visit or attend an information session.
Families are encouraged to contact the Admissions Office to arrange a campus tour or attend a school information session. These visits allow parents to view the learning environment, meet staff, and understand how the Primary programme supports children’s academic and personal growth.
2. Submit the online application and required documents.
Parents complete the official NAIS Hong Kong online application form and upload required documents, including the child’s passport, recent school reports, birth certificate, and any relevant health information. A non-refundable application fee is payable at this stage.
3. Student assessment and interview.
Applicants for the Primary Campus (Years 1–6) may be invited for an age-appropriate academic assessment and short interview. These help teachers evaluate the child’s learning level and English-language needs, ensuring appropriate placement within the year group.
4. Receive an offer and confirm enrolment.
Successful applicants receive an official offer letter from the Admissions Office. To confirm the place, families must sign the acceptance form and pay the Capital Enrolment Fee, which is non-refundable and non-transferable.
5. Prepare for school start.
Before the start of the term, families will receive orientation details, uniform guidance, and transport options. The school provides a checklist to ensure all materials, payments, and arrangements are completed before the child’s first day.
If a year group is full after assessment and interview, the applicant’s name may be placed on a waiting list. Priority is generally given to siblings of current students and families with corporate debentures. The school does not operate a formal pool system; places are offered as soon as availability arises.
The school does not publicly offer scholarships or bursaries for the Primary Campus.
