Shrewsbury’s approach to wellbeing is integrated into student support; early identification and intervention are designed to foster positive mental health alongside academic progress. Students experiencing social, emotional, and mental health difficulties may access support through Learning Mentors and the Individual Needs team. Additionally, the school promotes close communication with parents to monitor student welfare.

Safeguarding

Shrewsbury International School Hong Kong maintains a formal Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy, which is published and regularly updated. All staff complete safer-recruitment checks, including police clearances and references, before being appointed. The school designates a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and a Deputy DSL as the primary contacts for safeguarding concerns, with the Principal acting as a further escalation point. Visitors must sign in and out at Reception, remain in approved areas, use designated adult toilets, and may not take photos or videos unless specifically permitted.
